On this basis every transatlantic flight is an unnecessary risk
as the jet streams arent entirely predictable. I have been on a
flight to JFK that had to put down in Bangor Maine
to refuel as a result of just such a variation.

You can catch a boat if you prefer , I'll continue flying.
