Just checked the calendar. It is July up there isn't it?
Summer?
Cold winter's day here today on the 28th parallel South -
overnight low of 8C, high of 20C. Bright and sunny:-)

Tropical thunderstorms in Zuid Holland at the moment. It rained almost all last
week when we were in UK. My daughter said the last time they had had summer
weather was when we were there at the end of May.

Yes, it makes the tops of the clouds very warm.

There was summer weather in the NW in June- just not most of the time.
The last three weeks in particular have been particularly grim here,
where it has been dull and rainy most days. I've taken an umbrella with
me nearly every day. I don't have one at the moment (enroute to
Birmingham) so hope I don't get caught out later...

Re: Tanning salon in Istanbul?
Yes. And you see that's the problem. We have no summer here in
Britain. But the other problem is that I have very white skin and burn
easily, rather than tan. So if we did have any hot sun, would I lie
under it sunbathing? No way. And I'd rather not have skin cancer
either, thanks. Hence... fake spray tan will be fine, on this one
occasion.
Which is why I asked if anyone knows of any tanning salons that exist
in Istanbul? I'd rather get one when I arrive so I get more usage out
of it, than one I got done a few days earlier in England.
Thanks
