theme road following Boney's routes down the Alps. Many castles and forts.
You needn't stick to the exact route but it is worth it.

However don't even think of trying it before mid-June, unless you want to
go around most of the passes, as many will still be closed.

I've got a number of the passes described here (from a motorbiking point of
view). Notably the Galibier, Vars, Bonette, Click on the thumbnails for
more pictures.
