I´ve seen studies that indicate , that if you are open to
globalisation and outsourcing it will eventually benefit the "home"
business. It can retain its business and even expand.

The place that benefits is the place where the money goes.

The money that's paid in salaries is outsourced, but the profits are
not. The former is piddling compared to the latter.

These studies are based upon the low paid, dull jobs
being exported leaving the donor country to increase
the number of people in high paid added value jobs.

If you export the high paid added value jobs, what do
you replace them with?

If another country can do the same job for less it will make the
parent company more competitive, and create even more jobs. And I
would think that ALL jobs are adding value, including the dull low
paid ones not just the "high paid added value jobs".

Where has this actually happened? NL is in recession partly as a
result of all it's industry being outsourced.

It may make the multinational parent company more competitive, but it
creates unemployment in the countries that work is outsourced from.

Henry Ford already saw the consequences 70-80 years ago.

He said something like - I could produce my cars far cheaper abroad,
but then who would buy them.

In the language of Corporate Newspeak, "more competitive" means "a
helluva lot richer".
