$15000 - how long can i spend in europe?
If I am travelling as cheap as possible, how long with $15000 keep me
in Europe?

The main issue here is your housing and food. Most tourists will tend
to stay in the more expensive hotels, i.e. 150-400 euros per night.
Also, most restaurants would be expensive by US standards. However, if
you look for hostels, etc. and buy your food in markets or stick to
small sandwich places, etc, then your 15K could last several months.
It is all how you choose to spend it.

If I were planning on an indefinite stay, I'd rent an
apartment, do my own cooking and housekeeping, and take day
trips via public transportation. (Of course, you'd have to
choose a base centrally located to other places you wanted
to visit.)

apartment, do my own cooking and housekeeping, and take day
trips via public transportation. (Of course, you'd have to
