You "self checkout" (or at least you did, last time I was there)

It's mandatory in the US for everyone to carry firearms. Even nuns and
traffic wardens. It's in the constitution!

At o'Hare they have more people manning the pass control for foreigners
than for US citizens every time I come back.

I find it harder by far to get back into the US at O'Hare than into any
other country except the one time in Frankfort when I arrived on the first
Lufthansa flight after the whole volcanic ash cloud problem. That was
nothing compared to the time it took me to get OUT of O,Hare that year, of
course.

I've never had any trouble getting into or out of France.

I've been to the US once, and it was a horror. I'll go back when I've won
the lottery.

I convinced myself that she was deported via CdeG and declared persona non
grata.

The only time I had a problem was when I travelled to the USA with a diplomatic
visa, otherwise immigration has always been without problems. Queues at
immigration and security are caused by airlines not being willing to pay for an
adequate number of immigration/security staff. The queues aren't unique to the
USA. We took a charter flight from Schiphol where queues extended outside the
airport building, in this case there were not enough check in staff.

At LHR they have 10 times as many desks for "foreigners" than they do for
"priority" pax

that doesn't stop the priority pax getting through in moments, whilst the
foreigners wait up to an hour
