Just to bring you up to date....

The government is proposing some big funding [£500M is being suggested] to
Local Authorities by way of incentives to keep weekly collections.....
Weekly collection is a big 'Conservative' ideal (philosophy even) that they
wish to keep up....It's becoming a bit of a political football......The
problem is, the government have made funding cuts running to billions of
pounds to local authorities so finding this money now whilst still allowing
social care cuts (amongst other things) is...well, ironic really!

No idea what you put in your garbage, but ours doesn't smell any worse
after four weeks than after one week.

How much do you pay? Over here it's USD 18.70 for about 21 gallons
garbage a month plus 21 gallons bio-degradable every two weeks. Works
great for the three of us.
