Predefinito Spain - 2006

Hola mis amigos! Planning that trip to Spain.
I think I have identified Madris, seville, Cordoba and Grenada as musts.
Thinking of avoiding the Costa del Sol.
However I do need to find my way to Gibraltar. Sorry have British ancestry
so want to see it.
So it is a question of how I do this. The other question is I would like to
spend a day at least in a small town where there may not be as many tourists
but does have a decent rail link.
This would be a quiet day.
Would appreciate any thoughts

Gracias

I spent a week in Malaga last fall. Very nice town with a nice, old city
centre. Connections to Gibraltar by bus was very easy (about 2 hours) or
plenty of rental cars are available. Malaga is easily accessible by air or
rail.
