Predefinito London not getting visitors

I hear on the radio that since the bombs in London tourism has
declined while other parts of country have gained.
Amazes me that before the bombs people must have not thought
London a target.

I think the bombs are the excuse the businesses are using.

It was only domestic travel, and as it's only likely to be tourist
really affected a much more plausible cause for me is the increase in
low cost flights from regional airports...

Jim.

Which hardly explains the rise in tourism in other parts
of the UK.

Why not? I'm rapidly losing count of all the new budget airline
destinations you can fly to from Manchester or Liverpool. On the planes
I've flown on such routes, it's not all been people from the UK on the
flights.

The availability of flights to other parts of the UK doesn't explain
the rise in tourism of other parts of the UK?

Jim.

They are full of the kids of people like me :-)

All four Manchester Jet2 flights that my two kids took at Christmas
were only around half full.
